Arrive early instead of barely on time. This way you will have time to be organized and ready instead of rushed.
Take any lapses of memory as perfectly normal. Do not let a memory lapse keep you from being calm.
Be completely undisturbed if others finish before you do. Take your time–you’ll have more than enough to complete your exam.
Avoid changing your answers unless you are very sure you made and error.
Watch for “all of the above” and “none of the above”. Those answers are not always the correct answers.
Don’t waste time pondering difficult questions. If you have no idea, skip the answer and move on. Return to the question later.
Don’t “read into” questions. Often simple-looking questions are just what they appear to be.
Read the question carefully and completely. There may be more than one correct answer, select the most correct answer.
Quickly eliminate the obviously wrong answers. This will usually leave you with only two from which to choose.
Information relevant to one question is sometimes given away in another test question.
Options that carefully qualify statements tend to be correct.
Words like not, but, may, except, are qualifying words. Strengthening words are always, never, must.
Don’t hesitate to ask the examiner to clarify a question when necessary.
If you complete all of the questions and still have time remaining, review the test.
